Purim Prepping in the Little Beginners

Our Little Beginners are getting ready for Purim! We started working on our very own mask. Our Morah’s traced both our hands, cut them out, and we glued them together!  We then colored Popsicle sticks to be our mask handle. We can’t wait to wear our masks on Purim!

During circle time, Morah Deena gave the class a Purim puppet show, we met King Achashverosh, Haman Harasha, Mordachai and our favorite; Queen Esther. We all sat quietly and in awe as Morah Deena told us the Purim Story. We also learned some Purim songs, and dressed up in silly hats. We then had time to eat yummy Cheerios, and play with the rice table.

We always have a great time playing with the bikes and balls.

We can’t wait to see everyone on Wednesday, remember- it is picture day!

Having A Ball- In Little Beginners

We had a great week here in Little Beginners!

Our Wednesday class started with some eager kids ready to play. After playtime, we all sat in a circle and davened, we sang Mode Ani and Shema. We even learned some new songs like ‘head and shoulders’.

Our morning continued in our indoor playground. We had a blast throwing, catching and running after colorful balls.

For our final activity of the day, we got to paint! We put paint on a paper inside a box, and placed golf balls inside. We each took turns rolling the box and balls around to create our own masterpiece! We can’t wait to bring our paintings home on Monday. We had a great week, and we are looking forward to coming back next week! Shabbat Shalom

First Day Fun – In Little Beginners

What a fantastic first day we had! It was nice to meet all our new Little Beginners. Everyone enjoyed getting to know each other while playing with play dough, cars, blocks and books. We then had circle time where we davened and sang songs.

Our Little Beginners loved playing with the “trucks”.

When we finished with the bikes, we went back to our room, where we had snack and played with our rice table. Everyone loved the feel of the rice. We then had a special project with dot paint. We made a class mural, which is now hanging in front of our classroom- come check it out! Our favorite part of this project was opening and closing the dot paint caps.

We had a great first day, and we can’t wait until we meet again on Wednesday!

Little Beginners Begins!!

We are having a ball together in Little Beginners Class. The children really enjoy interacting with each other. It is so fun to watch them explore together. Here are some of our favorite things to do:

– play as a group / share our toys in the class
– color the letters of our names with chunky crayons
– clean up after ourselves
– sing during Circle Time and Dovening
– use dot paints
– ride bikes and go down the slide together
– play with rice in the rice table
– play with the big bouncy balls
– dance to music

Yes we have been quite busy and it has only been two days!

We are off for Shavuot this week but we look forward to being together with all our friends next week!

Chag Sameach!!
